When does GTA 6 come out?
GTA 6 releases on Thursday, November 19, 2026. Rockstar moved it from its earlier May 2026 date to give the team more time to finish the game. It launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. No PC version has been announced.

Rockstar says GTA 6 releases at midnight local time on November 19 in all regions, on both consoles, so players in New Zealand and Australia get in first and the Americas last. The timer above counts to midnight in your time zone. Some outlets list the whole of the US and Canada unlocking together at midnight Eastern, so check your console store's countdown the day before. When can you pre-load GTA 6?
Pre-loading starts on November 10, 2026. On PS5 it opens at midnight local time; on Xbox Series X|S it opens at midnight GMT worldwide, which is the evening of November 9 in the Americas.
