No. Grand Theft Auto VI launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only on November 19, 2026. Rockstar hasn't announced a PC version, and its official pages list just the two consoles.
What Rockstar and Take-Two have said
- Rockstar's support page lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S as the platforms you can pre-order on. There's no PC entry.
- Take-Two's CEO, Strauss Zelnick, has said in interviews and investor calls that Rockstar has announced the game for console only so far, and that Rockstar traditionally launches on console first.
- No date, no announcement. Reports of a specific PC window, such as early 2027, haven't been confirmed by Rockstar or Take-Two.
What history suggests
Rockstar's last two big games both came to PC, just not on day one:
- GTA V launched on PS3 and Xbox 360 in September 2013 and reached PC in April 2015, about 19 months later.
- Red Dead Redemption 2 launched on PS4 and Xbox One in October 2018 and reached PC in November 2019, about 13 months later.
So a PC version later on is likely, but nothing says when. If Rockstar follows its own pattern, PC players are looking at a wait of a year or more.
What about older consoles?
There's no PS4 or Xbox One version. GTA 6 needs a PS5 (any model, including the Digital Edition and PS5 Pro) or an Xbox Series X or Series S.
Can you play it on PC some other way?
Not officially. Xbox Cloud Gaming and PlayStation Remote Play are worth watching, because they can stream console games to a PC. Rockstar hasn't said whether GTA 6 will support cloud streaming, so don't buy anything based on that yet.
What PC players can do now
- Wait for an announcement. Rockstar posts platform news on its Newswire first.
- Don't buy a "GTA 6 PC" download or key. Any site selling one is a scam, because the PC version doesn't exist.
- Consider a console if you want to play in November. The Xbox Series S is the cheapest way in, though it has the least storage and is expected to run at a lower resolution.
Platform details are from Rockstar's support pages. Release dates for GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 are their original launch dates.
